- 100% Artermia Cysts ( Brine Shimp Eggs)
Hatching Conditions
- 1. Salinity : 20 -30 parts per thousand (ppt) or 1.015-1.020 Specific gravity
- 2.Temperature : best hatching is achieved at water temperature of 28-30C . Lowering the -temperature wold result in a longer hatching time . Do notexceed 30C
- 3. Light : Maintain a light source above the tank during the entrire incubation Preiod .
- 4. Aeration : Constant strong aeration is necessary to provide sufficent oxygen levels for the cysts to hatch . A minimum of 3 ppm dissolved oxygen during the incubatin is recommended.
- 5.PH : A starting PH of 8.0 or higher is recommended. If PH Drops Below 7.5 during incubation , add a teaspoon of Sodium Bicarbonate or a PH buffer to raise it above 8.0.
- 6. Stocking Density : 2 grams per liter is recommended . Ahigher Stocking density will result in a lower % hatch .
